WHISKEY’s newest SUPERGROUP
Jonathan LIKARISH, the head distiller at Ironroot Republic, and Chris “The liquorhound” TREVINO met when their MUTUAL love of whiskey collided. Chris’ penchant for collecting old, rare, and unique spirits and Jonathan’s deep knowledge of esoteric distilling methodology were a match made in heaven. the two became fast friends and chris became a regular at ironroot.
The Trevino and Likarish Families made a pilgrimage to Cognac, FRANCE in 2018 TO LEARN MORE ABOUT french distilling and blending techniques. NO ONE KNEW it at the time, but this trip laid the foundation for their UPCOMING COLLABORATION. chris is A NATURAL AT tasting, nosing, AND blending spirits. jonathan knew chris would be the perfect partner when the idea of creating a blend of finished bourbons came to him. A few years and a few barrels later, saints alley was born.
Named for the historic alley behind the barrel warehouse in downtown denison, texas, Saints Alley combines the time-honored traditions of French blending techniques, Ironroot’s maturation prowess, and the LiquorHound’s expert palate. The results are some of the tastiest spirits you will ever drink.

Born in El Paso and raised in West Texas, Jonathan is an ardent Texan passionate about whiskey. Jonathan puts his engineering degrees to work every day as head of the distilling, maturation and blending operations at ironroot republic. he received notoriety as the winner of whisky magazine’s world’s best bourbon 2021 for ironroot’s harbinger whiskey. he lives in pottsboro with his wife, kids, and a pair of crazy pups.
cHRIS TREVINO
chris’ spirits journey started in 1994 with a bottle of tequila. his passion quickly grew to include rum, vodka, gin, scotch, and bourbon. as his youtube channel began to flourish, Chris quit his job as a usps postal worker to write whiskey reviews full time. his liquor collection boasts roughly 2,500 bottles and grows daily. he lives in fort worth with his wife jennifer and their menagerie of pups.
